PASAJES FLAMENCOS

by CAROLA ZERTUCHE

Carola Zertuche, the artistic director of Theatre Flamenco of San Francisco, directed and presented the stunning production '[Pasajes Flamencos]' for the San Francisco International Art Festival. This emotional production is dedicated to all children who have suffered and lost their lives in challenging circumstances, serving as a poignant reminder of the global issues we face. Carola curated a captivating fusion of cultures by inviting an Oud and violin player to infuse Arabic melodies, while a flamenco singer delivered a soul-stirring performance blending Arabic and flamenco traditions. Additionally, Carola showcased the versatility of her dancers by incorporating dynamic performances with Castanets, Baston and Abanicos, seamlessly merging classic and modern elements. '[Pasajes Flamencos]' is a powerful testament to the transformative power of art in addressing contemporary social narratives.
